Solving the Mystery, Pollination – Part I

/ / Wildlife

Wednesday 2 August 2018; 9:50am

In the middle of the night of July 3rd, I awoke to the word ‘Pollination’. I was absolutely clueless why I had seen that word when I awoke…but later on, I realized that it was the answer to my prayer the previous night in which I had asked God for guidance for the blogs. Truthfully, pollination had been the farthest from my mind.

Later on in the day, I did some research and learned, to my surprise, how totally oblivious I’d been to the existing pollination problems. I continued a little more research and reading but not much else got done.

This morning (July 9), God put a bit more “oompffhh” behind the word pollination…like “enough dillydallying!! – get to work!!

God showed me…

I awoke in the middle of the night (around 2:30am) from what I think was a dream. I saw an illuminated, dime size circle and in the center, a “shadowy something”. I could not make up what that “shadowy something” was. I must have fallen back asleep as I awoke again around 7am. I got up, opened the blinds and …What’s THAT!!?? Huhhhh??!!! To the left was a rabbit sitting right in the middle of the large round pot of plants…How odd, never seen that before..

I went out into the yard and while watering the plants outside, I noticed a light grey dove feather in the grass. Couldn’t have missed it! It was sticking up like a thrown dart – bullseye…just like that! It reminded of the day I found the feathers of the killed dove (by a hawk), exactly the same way.

Then, as I was pulling the water hose towards the bird bath, I heard something fall to the ground. I turned around and …aaahhwwww…the hose had knocked my favorite music box off the small table.

The two dancing bees that had been on top of the box, both had broken off… Fortunately for me, the bees were in tact so that all I have to do is glue them back on top of the box

Back inside, as I was standing by the window, I noticed a number of baby finches gathered around a small, depression in the grass. Mmmmhhhh… A couple seem to be munching away on the flower inside the grass depression yet, they were too far away to see exactly what was going on so. Here they are…..

Then, as I was making my cup of brew, from the kitchen window I noticed “something” in the tree to the left. Towards one of the lower branches, I saw what reminded me of the circle I’d seen overnight. Though it was surrounded by leaves, it was that ‘something’ inside that drew my attention.

Later, when I came into the garage… …Huuuhhhhh??!!! What was the Hula Hoop doing against the side door…How did it get there??? It wasn’t there last night!!

Trust me, my mornings are usually not this eventful

As I was downloading the photos from my camera, it dawned on me…with all that happened, all the strange ‘circular’ incidents of this morning, God was showing me something that was important to Him… the rabbit, the dove’s feather, the broken-off bees of the music box, the finches in and around the circular depression in the grass, the circle in the tree …and finally, the Hula Hoop. God was trying to tell me something…but what??

…Light flash… I connected the dots!! The round or circular Hula Hoop represents “connectedness or linked”. The characters to this morning events all – somehow – happened either inside or around a circle meaning they were either related and/or affected by it. I then knew…it was about ‘Pollination’

Genesis Chapter 1:29-30

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

No wonder God directed me to ‘pollination’ because the pollination process is in trouble. I believe God is showing me that the diminishing pollination process is affecting our world, a world of everything good, nutritious and healthy. It is not only affecting us humans but also flora and fauna. A world God so beautifully and perfectly created for us..

Because most of us don’t see the pollination process, we don’t give it any thought. Fortunately, God showed me that the problem of polination is real and serious enough – that if we don’t take some kind of action, the consequences could be dire. The lack of or diminishing pollination will not only endanger many trees, plants and flowers but animals and critters as well. It won’t stop there..It will affect our lives and our livelihoods too. Not to mention our food supply/variety and the medicines we’ve grown accustomed to.

In the next few weeks, I’ll show the pollination process through photos of birds and insects in my photo gallery and will also show some wildlife beneficiaries from pollination. Now I know about the problem, how can I improve and support the pollination process and invite others to do the same?!

THANK YOU, LORD FOR SHOWING US HOW MUCH YOU LOVE AND CARE ABOUT US!
